14.

How the horseCam-solution works in the trailer/car

Look at the illustration above to get familiar with how the products are used in your trailer and car cabin.

Due to the length of the trailer power cable, the camera has to be placed at a maximum of 1,5 meters

from a power source inside the trailer. The power source is often made up of the trailer’s interior lighting

system. This means that the most common place to position the camera is either in the front or in the

back of the trailer (the camera is most often connected either to the rear light or the interior light of the

trailer).

15. Installing the camera inside the trailer

Bring the following products to your trailer when installing the camera.

NOTICE! In this step it is helpful to be two persons since it is recommended that 1 person is holding the

camera inside the trailer while the other persons inspect the picture quality inside the car cabin.

Information

On some trailer models the interior light power source is not strong enough to feed

both the camera and the light bulb simultaneously. If you have problems getting

your camera to work with the interior light, turn off the light switch and/or start the

car engine. If you experience problems with the interior light as a power source we

recommend you to use another power source, such as the rear light.
